Vastu for Pooja Room:
Pooja room or prayer room is a dedicated room for worship and meditation to perform every day, by which Mind, Body and Soul are get refreshed. This room is considered as a sacred place in the house. By doing the prayer / pooja regularly, this rooms gets energized by positive energy and that spreads into the entire home. By arranging the pooja room as per Vastu Shastra, that attracts more positive energy to the home.
There are certain rules which one must follow before starting the design of pooja room.
The best place to locate pooja room is the North-East corner of your home. Second option for pooja room will be East or West side of your home.
Vastu Tips for Pooja Room:
1.As per pooja room Vastu, North-East corner of home is best.
2. Pooja room must be in ground floor.
3 One should face towards East/North while worshiping.
4.A Pooja room should never be made in a bedroom or on a wall adjacent to the bathroom wall.
5.Place the idols a few inches (at least an inch) away from wall.
6.All the idols are always be in perfect condition.
7. One shall not enter the pooja room for any purpose without washing his legs and hands.
8.Have two shutter doors of high–quality wood for prayer room.
9.White or light–yellow colored marble work in prayer room makes it more auspicious.
10.In pooja room, copper vessels only shall be used particularly where water is collected.
11.Use white, light yellow colors for walls of pooja room.
12.You can place a lamp stand in the pooja room in South–East.
13.Holy lamp should be in the South-East direction of the worship room. The sacred offerings to the fire should be made with the face towards the East.
14.Nothing should be stored above the cabinet or slab here the God’s idol is placed.
15.While worshiping, the legs of the idol should be at the chest level of the person worshiping depending on the position, whether standing or sitting.
